Sediment Reducer

  A sediment reducer in distilling is a simple device placed inside a fermenting bucket. As the wash is siphoned out, it helps prevent heavy particles and sediment from being transferred along with the liquid. It doesn't actively clarify the wash, but rather assists in leaving behind unwanted solids during transfer, potentially improving the quality of the distillation process by reducing the amount of sediment that enters the still.
